Last night I had this dream where my sister invited over hundreds of people to watch Star Trek Voyager, which in the dream it was a regular family affair to watch. People were all over the place, but it was more like a house party. The place was packed, mostly because everyone was staying on the property, literally — it was ass-to-ass all over the lawn, right up to the sidewalk and the property line, and no one would cross over, like there were invisible walls holding people in. I was walking around, and I noticed that there was television mounted outside, and it wasn’t on, so I turned it on so everyone could actually watch Voyager. As soon as the show ended, everyone left.

I’ve had two dreams now that I’m moving into my new apartment, except I’m not just moving in with idolatrare, my girlfriend, but I’m also moving in with Kangor and some other unknown person whose gender never reveals itself during the dreams. I know there are four people. And the apartment in both dreams is a real shit hole, but it’s been two different apartments. Piles of trash, rat droppings, portions of the place have ceiling tiles, most of which are waterstained and yellowed, doors falling off, a backdoor that opens to nothing because the porch fell off the building, and all the drains, including the toilet, are really clogged.

My new apartment is actually nothing like that, but I talked to the current residents and they said they need to clean it up, and it’s going to take them two days… which made me wonder what the hell they were cleaning up, and could be the source of these dreams.

There have been a few requests for things from E_MOO, the most recent of which is the in-database parser. I searched the archive and found the docs for E_CORE, but the only portion written was the in-db parsing.

When I came home from work today, I took a little nap and had this dream that I swear I’ve had before, but never remembered (dream da ja vu). I was with someone else in a clockwork mousetrap-game type series of pipes and ramps, and were either mice or were mouse-sized. We were playing this game where a severed head was rolling around in the maze-thing with us, trying to catch us. We would set traps for it, and push it back down ramps, but it would just roll right back up and follow us around. It was laughing and cracking jokes and making chomping movements with it’s jaw like it was trying to bite us (the top three rules in the “Severed Head Code of Conduct”). Near the end of the dream, a body seemed to suddenly appear on the head, and and it stood up.

I’ve applied the samba auditing patch for 2.0.5 to the latest samba source, 2.0.7, and regenerated a new patch. I have not tested it (I don’t have a decent testing environment), but I don’t see any reason why it wouldn’t work. You can find it in the Samba Software section.
